The second season of Transparent is nearly upon us, and those whose patience is at an end will be happy to know that the wait ends today — at least for some viewers. Amazon Prime members in the U.S. will be able to watch the second season premiere of the Amazon original series starting at 8 pm ET, according to Deadline. The rest of the season will be released as planned in early December.

For binge watchers, this might not be the best news; after all, one of the perks of streaming is being able to move onto the next episode without having to wait. However, getting a season premiere early is always an unexpected treat. The episode should be a good one, too, with the Pfeffermans gathering for the wedding of Sarah (Amy Landecker) and Tammy (Melora Hardin).

In a teaser released in early November, the wedding looked as chaotic as one would expect a Pfefferman family event — especially one of this magnitude — to be. It was even teased as being “messy,” so the episode should be fun for viewers. We expect the early premiere to prove too tempting for fans who would otherwise prefer to wait and watch all episodes at once.

In addition to the wedding, season two will bring the ongoing adjustment of the family to their new normal after their patriarch’s gender transition, not to mention their myriad other issues. The Emmy-winning series will return its stars, Landecker, Jeffrey Tambor, Judith Light, Jay Duplass, and Gaby Hoffman as the Pfeffermans. Viewers also have various guest stars to look forward to, including Anjelica Huston, Cherry Jones, Kathryn Hahn, and more. Jill Soloway is also back as executive producer, joined by Andrea Sperling.

The full second season of Transparent, which was originally slated for release on December 4, will be released on December 11 in the U.S., the U.K., Germany, and Austria.
