First American Horror Story: Hotel trailer introduces cast in the hallways of the hotel

With American Horror Story: Hotel almost here, FX has released the first trailer, giving us a look into the hallways of the eerie hotel. It’s packed full of strange moments, which surely will be true of the season as well.

With characters strutting around the corridors, it’s almost like they’re in the creepiest runway show ever. They’re dressed for it, too — even the children. For the finale, Lady Gaga makes her appearance, wearing an elaborate white dress.

There are plenty of reminders that this isn’t a normal hotel. Throughout the trailer, there are bizarre shots woven in, like a blender full of what appears to be blood, a body sewn into a mattress (badly, at that), and a group of creepy blonde children being towed around on a bellhop cart. Characters who make appearances among the madness include Chloë Sevigny, Matt Bomer, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, and more.

That fashion plays a noticeable role in the trailer is fitting, considering how it will play into storylines this season. Supermodel Naomi Campbell is scheduled for a recurring role, and she’ll play a fashion editor who ends up on the bad side of The Countess (played by Lady Gaga). Meanwhile, Cheyenne Jackson will play a struggling fashion icon, and Finn Wittrock will play Tristan, a model who is one of The Countess’ love interests.

The season will include multiple love triangles, creators previously revealed. It sounds like some of the characters involved will overlap, so perhaps lovers scorned will stir up some of the trouble that we know is headed to the hotel.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres on Oct. 7 at 10/9 c on FX.

3 underrated (HBO) Max movies you should watch this weekend (June 28-30)
A girl looks at a boy in House at the End of the Street.

June is surprisingly over, and with it, a great month for movies comes to a satisfactory close. You've probably watched Inside Out 2 or Bad Boys: Ride or Die or maybe even The Bikeriders. From blockbusters to indie fare, the theatrical movie business has been robust and healthy.

The same goes for streaming. Netflix had a big hit with Richard Linklater's Hit Man, while Amazon Prime Video recently premiered the latest bonkers season of The Boys. HBO and Max have been quieter, but their robust library speaks volumes to the streamer's high quality. The following three films are older, but are just as worth your time as new hits like House of the Dragon season 2.

If you fall into that second category, then we've pulled together a list of three great, underrated, titles available on Amazon Prime Video that are all worth checking out. Prime Video is home to some of the best movies available online, but it can be hard to find the ones you want. These three will at least give you a great place to start.
