Chainsaw Man anime gets a violent new trailer

It’s long been a tradition for heroes to incorporate symbols or direct references to their powers in their superhero names. You know the ones: Spider-Man, Batman, Ant-Man, Iron Man, Aquaman, and many more. But Chainsaw Man isn’t like any of those heroes. Arguably, he isn’t even a hero at all. Nor was he bitten by a radioactive chainsaw or anything too convoluted like that. Instead, he’s an ordinary high school student who has been cursed with the heart of a demon.

Chainsaw Man - Official 3rd Trailer / 『チェンソーマン』公式PV 第3弾

As established in Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga, the lead character is Denji and his world is quite different from our own. The supernatural is not only real, it doesn’t bother to hide its existence. Demons openly walk the Earth, some more evil than others. And to pay off his late father’s debt, Denji was blackmailed into accepting a pet devil, Pochita, and becoming a devil hunter. That decision ultimately cost Denji his life. Only by merging with Pochita was he able to survive as the grotesque Chainsaw Man. The good news is that Denji can still assume human form, even though he is now part demon himself.

The trailer also introduces Makima, a young woman who clearly has a demonic side of her own. Makima may look innocent, but we assure you that she is not. She has her own agenda for Denji and his Chainsaw Man persona. And nothing will stand in her way of seeing that through, not even Denji himself.

Everything is possible in new Doctor Who season 14 trailer
Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor in Doctor Who.

So far, Doctor Who fans have only seen Ncuti Gatwa's 15th Doctor in a cameo appearance in the final 60th anniversary special and in a single Christmas special last year. While it's too early to say what kind of Doctor that Gatwa will be, he sure has a winning smile in the new trailer for Doctor Who season 14. The latest preview from the upcoming season is very light on story details, but off the charts in terms of the chemistry between the Doctor and his new companion, Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson). Ruby seems a lot like the Doctor's previous companions Rose Tyler and Amy Pond. But if these clips are any indication, Ruby's going to grow into the role.

Adam Sandler walks through a jungle in Spaceman

When watching Netflix's new sci-fi drama Spaceman, be prepared for a side of Adam Sandler you rarely see. Sandler plays Jakub Procházka, an astronaut sent on a solo mission to the solar system's edge. Six months into his mission, Jakub contemplates if his marriage to his wife, Lenka (Carey Mulligan), can be saved upon returning to Earth. With no other human on the ship, Jakub confides in Hanuš, (voiced by Paul Dano), an extraterrestrial spider who helps the astronaut work through his problems.

Ultimately, Spaceman is a film about self-discovery as a man seeks to change his ways before it's too late. Spaceman begins streaming on March 1 on Netflix.
