Furious 7 actors Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson are featured in the short clip, and the as one might expect from the Hollywood tough guys, their on-screen time is short on dialogue and big on punches, kicks, and in this particular sequence, quite a bit of broken glass. The pair brawl from one end of a glass-filled office to the other after CIA Agent Luke Hobbs (Johnson) discovers Deckard Shaw (Statham) stealing data from his computer — not the kind of intrusion that provokes a street fight in most scenarios.
The seventh installment of the blockbuster franchise finds Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker), Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), and the rest of their ragtag family of racing experts targeted by a dangerous rogue agent (Statham) intent on revenge. When the crew loses one of their own to Shaw, they’re forced to go on the offensive to protect themselves and their loved ones.
Directed by James Wan (Insidious), the film also features a slew of returning cast members including Jordana Brewster (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning), Tyrese Gibson (Transformers), Chris “Ludacris” Bridges (New Year’s Eve), Elsa Pataky (Where the Road Meets the Sun), and Lucas Black (Friday Night Lights), who returns to the franchise after starring in 2006’s The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift. Newcomers to the series this time around include Tony Jaa (Ong-Bak), Kurt Russell (The Thing, Escape From New York), Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones), and Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy), as well as musician Iggy Azaela in a cameo role.
Furious 7 hits theaters April 3.
