Fast and Furious meets Jason Bourne in new Hitman: Agent 47 trailer

20th Century Fox debuted the trailer for Hitman: Agent 47 this week, offering audiences their first look at the fast-paced action film based on the popular video game series.

The film casts Homeland actor Rupert Friend as a genetically engineered assassin on the trail of a woman who might hold the key to unlocking his mysterious past, including the secrets behind the program that created him and other lethal agents like him. Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto plays a supporting role in the film, along with a cast of mostly unknowns including Hannah Ware (Betrayal), Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Dan Bakkedahl (The Heat) and Ciaran Hinds (The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby).

Based on the Eidos Interactive (and later Square Enix) game series, Hitman: Agent 47 is the second attempt to turn the game franchise into a big-screen property after 2007’s Hitman (starring Timothy Olyphant) turned a modest profit in the worldwide market but was a critical disappointment.

Hitman: Agent 47 is directed by Aleksander Bach and hits theaters August 28.

Emotions are running high in America. No, I'm not talking about politics; I'm talking about Inside Out 2. The Pixar animated movie about the inner life of a pre-teen's emotions has reigned supreme in June, grossing so much ,money that it's already on the list of the 10 most successful animated movies ever.

Not everyone is interested in that movie, or another Bad Boys sequel, or even The Bikeriders. There are those who prefer to stay home and see what's on Netflix. But instead of watching the dreadful Jessica Alba action flick Trigger Warning, try these three older movies that are almost as good, if not better, than what you can find at the movie theater.

3 underrated (HBO) Max movies you should watch this weekend (June 28-30)
A girl looks at a boy in House at the End of the Street.

June is surprisingly over, and with it, a great month for movies comes to a satisfactory close. You've probably watched Inside Out 2 or Bad Boys: Ride or Die or maybe even The Bikeriders. From blockbusters to indie fare, the theatrical movie business has been robust and healthy.

The same goes for streaming. Netflix had a big hit with Richard Linklater's Hit Man, while Amazon Prime Video recently premiered the latest bonkers season of The Boys. HBO and Max have been quieter, but their robust library speaks volumes to the streamer's high quality. The following three films are older, but are just as worth your time as new hits like House of the Dragon season 2.

If you fall into that second category, then we've pulled together a list of three great, underrated, titles available on Amazon Prime Video that are all worth checking out. Prime Video is home to some of the best movies available online, but it can be hard to find the ones you want. These three will at least give you a great place to start.
