Take an evening stroll with Jessica Jones in new Netflix teaser

Marvel's Jessica Jones - Evening Stroll - Only on Netflix [HD]
The follow-up to Netflix and Marvel Studios’ Daredevil series premieres next month, and so far Jessica Jones is looking like another intriguing spin on a popular Marvel character.

In the latest trailer for Jessica Jones, we’re given a glimpse of the superpowers that once made the title character a force to be reckoned with in Marvel’s live-action cinematic universe.

Titled “Evening Stroll,” the brief teaser features Krysten Ritter as the series’ title character, taking a walk down a New York City street late at night. After looking around a bit, she jumps into the sky and lands on a balcony far above the street. The window near the balcony has a signed posted that reads “Alias Investigations, 5th Floor.”

Jessica Jones casts Ritter as a former superhero whose life was upended after tragedy brought an end to her superhero aspirations. Now faced with a battle against inner demons as dangerous as any external threats, she tries to rebuild her life by opening up a private investigation agency that handles cases involving superhuman abilities.

Along with Ritter, the series stars Doctor Who alum David Tennant as Kilgrave, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, as well as Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval. Melissa Rosenberg (TwilightDexter) serves as the series’ showrunner.

Jessica Jones is the second of four 13-episode series set in Marvel’s cinematic universe that will premiere on Netflix. Daredevil was the first of the series to premiere, and it will be followed by Jessica Jones next month, then Luke Cage and Iron Fist next year. All four series will then blend together in a limited series titled The Defenders premiering at a later date. Daredevil was one of the most popular original series to premiere on Netflix in recent years and earned rave reviews from critics and general audiences alike.

All 13 episodes of the series will premiere Nov. 20, 2015, at 12:01 a.m. PT on Netflix.

Like Netflix’s new sci-fi movie The Kitchen? Then watch these three great shows
Izi and Benji run together in The Kitchen.

The sci-fi genre covers a wide range of stories set in various strange worlds. Some science fiction is set in a far-flung future or in a distant galaxy, while other sci-fi stories occupy worlds that feel much more obviously like our own. There disparate settings can offer some insights into the world we actually live in and can be the basis for truly fascinating stories.

Netflix's The Kitchen, which is set in a future world where all public housing has been eliminated, definitely exists in a pretty grounded version of reality. Like all of the best sci-fi movies on Netflix, though, it also has plenty to say about how we live today. If you've watched and enjoyed the movie, these are three sci-fi shows that may scratch that same itch.
