Dubbed the “Global Trailer” for the film, the new preview of Jurassic World divides its time between Pratt and his ‘raptor pals and a terrifying, genetically engineered super-dinosaur that the park’s scientists created to drive up attendance. And as one might expect from a Jurassic Park movie, there’s no shortage of running and screaming to go along with all of the dino-chaos.
Set 22 years after the events of the original Jurassic Park, the long-awaited fourth film in the series returns to the fantastic theme park where dinosaurs still roam the Earth and guests can wander among them — until something goes wrong and the dinosaurs start eating everything in sight, of course. According to director Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed), the idea for the film was spawned by the image of a bored teen texting on a phone while a Tyrannosaurus Rex looms behind a wall of glass just a few feet away.
Along with Pratt, the film stars Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help), Ty Simpkins (Iron Man 3), Jake Johnson (Let’s Be Cops), Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer), Irrfan Khan (Life of Pi), Vincent D’Onofrio (Daredevil), B.D. Wong (Jurassic Park), Omar Sy (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Judy Greer (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Lauren Lapkus (Blended), and Andy Buckley (Bridesmaids).
Jurassic World is slated to stomp its way into standard, 3D, and IMAX theaters on June 12, 2015.
