As the battle of the political guests in late night TV continues, Stephen Colbert is the latest to snag another, as First Lady Michelle Obama has been booked to appear, reports Variety.
The First Lady is scheduled to appear on the Monday, September 28 show, where she’ll talk about her Let Girls Learn initiative to help young girls excel; as well as her Reacher Higher initiative, which encourages youth to pursue higher education, including both college or university, or professional training.
This won’t be the first time Colbert interviews Obama: she previously appeared on his Comedy Central show. The First Lady has also appeared on both The Tonight Show and Jimmy Fallon’s previous show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, to promote various initiatives, and show off her dancing skills in a few cute skits.

Colbert says it’s “always an honor” to have the First Lady on his show, adding that it’s often fun as well.
Interestingly, the date of Obama’s appearance also marks the debut night for Trevor Noah who is taking over The Daily Show from Jon Stewart. It isn’t all about competition, though, as Noah himself appeared on Colbert’s show on September 17. Bernie Sanders will be among the guests tonight.
This appearance will be the latest in a long string of politicians over the past few weeks, and those coming up. Hillary Clinton appeared on The Tonight Show on September 16. Donald Trump, who appeared on The Tonight Show last week, is also booked for Colbert’s show on September 22. Senator Elizabeth Warren will appear on the September 23 episode.
Colbert also has a diverse line-up of other guests involved in serious world issues beyond just the realm of the election, including Hugh Evans, who heads up the Global Poverty Project (September 23), Archbishop Thomas Wenski (September 24), Malala Yousafzai (September 25), and Egyptian diplomat Boutros Boutros-Ghali (September 28).
