In a recent interview, Christopher’s brother Jonathan Nolan — who co-wrote The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises and frequently collaborates with his director brother — indicated that the pair has moved on from superhero movies.
“I love those guys and my brother was involved in Man of Steel with Zack [Snyder] and David [Goyer],” Jonathan told ComingSoon.net during the press junket for Interstellar, which he co-wrote with his brother. “I kind of feel like that chapter for us is closed.”
The co-writer on the majority of films his brother has directed, Jonathan Nolan is currently working on an adaptation of Michael Crichton’s Westworld for HBO, about a futuristic theme park populated by androids. Still, Nolan didn’t rule out the notion that he and his brother could return to superhero movies some day.
“To be continued somewhere farther down the line?” he jokingly asked the outlet. “Maybe.”
