He played a demon with a heart of gold in the Hellboy franchise, and now Ron Perlman is headed back to the big screen — and very likely the makeup and prosthetics studio — to play another kind of creature in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Perlman will reportedly play a goblin in the upcoming Harry Potter spinoff movie, which is currently filming in England.

The news of Perlman’s casting arrives via The Hollywood Reporter, and any additional details regarding Perlman’s role are unknown at this point.

Featuring a script penned by Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling, Fantastic Beasts stars Eddie Redmayne as “magizoologist” Newt Scamander, who travels the world studying magical creatures. The film is set 70 years before the events of the Harry Potter films, and is based on the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them textbook used by Harry and his student pals at Hogwarts School.

Along with Redmayne and Perlman, the cast of the film includes Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Jenn Murray, and Faith Wood-Blagrove. Farrell is reportedly playing a wizard named “Graves” who meets Scamander in New York. Jon Voight, Gemma Chan, and Carmen Ejogo joined the cast of the film earlier this week.

David Yates, the director of the last four installments of the Harry Potter franchise (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and the two-part Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), is also directing Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Perlman recently starred in the Amazon Studios series Hand of God, and previously starred in six of the seven seasons of FX’s hit drama Sons of Anarchy. He also appeared in Guillermo Del Toro’s sci-fi blockbuster Pacific Rim.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is scheduled to arrive in 3D, IMAX, and standard theaters November 18, 2016.

3 underrated (HBO) Max movies you should watch this weekend (June 28-30)
A girl looks at a boy in House at the End of the Street.

June is surprisingly over, and with it, a great month for movies comes to a satisfactory close. You've probably watched Inside Out 2 or Bad Boys: Ride or Die or maybe even The Bikeriders. From blockbusters to indie fare, the theatrical movie business has been robust and healthy.

The same goes for streaming. Netflix had a big hit with Richard Linklater's Hit Man, while Amazon Prime Video recently premiered the latest bonkers season of The Boys. HBO and Max have been quieter, but their robust library speaks volumes to the streamer's high quality. The following three films are older, but are just as worth your time as new hits like House of the Dragon season 2.
