There are a lot of questions surrounding director David Ayer’s upcoming supervillain team-up movie Suicide Squad, which gathers together an impressive cast of familiar Hollywood faces playing some of DC Comics’ most notorious criminals. Anyone wondering what it will look like when all of those actors appear on the same screen together now has an answer (of sorts), though, in the form of a photo taken by Ayer at a recent read-through of the film’s script.
Posted to Twitter yesterday, the photo features Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, and much of the rest of the Suicide Squad cast gathered to read the script for the film, which follows a group of deadly, super-powered villains who are forced to undertake dangerous missions for a mysterious government agency.
In the film, Smith plays the hyper-accurate assassin Deadshot, with The Wolf of Wall Street actress Robbie in the role of insane prankster Harley Quinn, and The Help actress Viola Davis as the head of the government agency charged with keeping the villains in line, Amanda Waller.

Also seen in the photo is Ayer himself on the far left, as well as Joel Kinnaman (playing Rick Flagg), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Karen Fukuhara (Plastique), and Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), as well as actors Jay Hernandez, Adam Beach, Jim Parrack, and Ike Barinholtz, whose roles have yet to be officially confirmed. Rumors suggest the four actors could be playing the supervillains El Diablo, Ravan, Deathstroke, and Hugo Strange, respectively.
Conspicuously absent from the photo, however, is actor Jared Leto. Leto was cast to play iconic Batman foe The Joker, and the look he’s being given for the role — and the context of Joker’s role in the film, for that matter — has been a closely guarded secret.
Written and directed by Ayer, Suicide Squad is scheduled to hit theaters August 5, 2016.
