Boss Baby (Alec Baldwin) is not your typical infant. Boss Baby wears a suit and tie, carries a briefcase, and acts like a boss (pun intended). When he arrives home from the hospital, Boss Baby meets his 7-year-old brother Tim (Miles Bakshi; Tobey Maguire voices Adult Tim), beginning a sibling rivalry. However, Boss Baby takes pity on his older brother after he’s grounded and reveals his plans to Tim.

Boss Baby is on a mission to investigate the recent uptick in adults’ love for puppies while making babies the dominant force in their parents’ lives again. Boss Baby incorporates a fairly high concept for children, but at the end of the day, it’s a kids’ movie, so there are plenty of bathroom jokes and friendly bits that will make children laugh.

Sandra Bullock was once Hollywood’s top rom-com star. In 2000, Bullock traded in her weapons for a pair of heels in Miss Congeniality. FBI agent Gracie Hart (Bullock) is one of the guys. The idea of being a “girly girl” makes her sick. After a bomb threat is called in for the Miss United States beauty pageant, the FBI sends Gracie undercover as a pageant contestant to aid in discovering the bomb.

On the surface, it sounds like a good idea. However, Gracie knows nothing about pageants. Thankfully, Gracie goes through a pageant boot camp and learns how to be a “lady.” Much to everyone’s surprise, Gracie successfully transforms into “Gracie Lou Freebush” of New Jersey. Will Gracie’s actions be enough to save the pageant?

For Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, Back in Action is an appropriate title for the comeback movie. Foxx suffered a stroke in 2023 that nearly killed him. For Diaz, it’s her first film since 2014’s Annie. Together, Foxx and Diaz play Matt and Emily, former CIA spies who left the world of espionage to start a family.

15 years later, Matt and Emily live with their two children in Atlanta. Their quiet life ends after a former enemy discovers their location. With their cover blown, the couple must turn back the clock, unearth their combat skills, and act like elite special agents to protect their family.

Leave it to a Succession director to helm an effective satire about social status and class told through fine dining. Directed by Emmy winner Mark Mylod, The Menu follows a group of diners invited to a remote island to dine at Hawthorn, an exclusive restaurant owned by renowned chef Julian Slowik (Ralph Fiennes). The diners range from a food critic and washed-up movie star to a foodie and wealthy investor.

With the diners inside Hawthorn, the meal begins with a series of courses followed by a monologue from Slowik to explain each dish. Things take an extremely dark turn when Slowik peels back the curtain and reveals why each diner is here, which we’ll avoid. Let’s just say this might be the Last Supper.

Amy Schumer is (sort of) carrying an unborn child in Kinda Pregnant. Lainy (Schumer) always wanted to get pregnant. Unfortunately, her loser boyfriend is not ready to be a father. To make matters worse, Kate (Jillian Bell), Lainy’s best friend and co-worker, is pregnant. Once more co-workers get pregnant, Lainy reaches her breaking point.

While shopping with Kate, Lainy wears a fake baby bump and appreciates how people treat her. Lainy takes things to the next level by wearing the baby bump in public and befriends another pregnant woman, Megan (Brianne Howey). Lainy falls in love with Megan’s brother Josh (Will Forte). Remember: Lainy is faking a pregnancy. Josh is going to find out eventually unless Lainy keeps the lie going for as long as she can.
