Latest trailer for ‘The Defenders’ gives us just enough to beg for more

Marvel's THE DEFENDERS Trailer #3 (Englisch)
Ever since the first season of Daredevil back in 2015, fans have been waiting to see Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Daredevil team up together. It’s what fans were promised and it’s finally going to arrive on Netflix next Friday. We’ve already seen a couple of trailers revealing some cool scenes and images for Marvel’s The Defenders. This week, we’ve been given yet another trailer for the upcoming miniseries and while it doesn’t reveal a whole lot of new information, it’s still pretty cool.

Fans sure have been anxious to see these four characters together on-screen, but from the looks of the trailer, the characters themselves aren’t too excited to spend time with one another. The new trailer begins with a little bit of humor, as our four heroes are dining together at the Royal Dragon Chinese restaurant after what we can assume was a tense physical battle.

Some weren’t too happy with the first season of Iron Fist, but Danny Rand, played by Finn Jones, gets a couple of worthwhile moments in the trailer. First off, we get to see a brief glimpse of him fighting alongside Luke Cage, played by Mike Colter. Anybody who is a fan of the two Heroes for Hire partners in the Marvel comics series is certainly going to get a kick out of it. In addition, Danny gets to use his Iron Fist to completely destroy a sword wielded by Elektra (Elodie Yung).

Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones is still just as witty and sarcastic as she ever was in the latest trailer, at one point asking herself if she is the only person among the four of them who doesn’t know karate. Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock/Daredevil once again puts on the red suit, after what was a very interesting cliffhanger at the end of Daredevil season 2. If there is any reason for him to wear the costume again, it’s to join forces with these other three heroes. According to a recent interview in Playboy can also expect to see the characters change after the events of this miniseries.

The Defenders debuts on Netflix next week, August 18, 2017, and be sure to can check out our first-half review of the series right here.

Update: The original text claimed this was the final trailer, but it seems Netflix had one more trailer in store. The copy has been updated to reflect the change.

iPhone 11 Pro Max rear crop angle

Apple has acquired a technology startup named Spectral Edge, and in doing so, has given us a hint at what it may be working on for future versions of the iPhone’s camera. Apple is known for being secretive regarding its company acquisitions, and this only became known when Apple’s corporate lawyer was named as a director of the company, and that Apple had taken control of the firm.

What does Spectral Edge offer Apple? The company’s website is no longer accessible, but information about the firm can still be found on the website of the business park where its offices are located. It states Spectral Edge is a “cutting edge image-processing” company, which uses artificial intelligence and deep learning to enhance photos.

3 underrated (HBO) Max movies you should watch this weekend (June 28-30)
A girl looks at a boy in House at the End of the Street.

June is surprisingly over, and with it, a great month for movies comes to a satisfactory close. You've probably watched Inside Out 2 or Bad Boys: Ride or Die or maybe even The Bikeriders. From blockbusters to indie fare, the theatrical movie business has been robust and healthy.

The same goes for streaming. Netflix had a big hit with Richard Linklater's Hit Man, while Amazon Prime Video recently premiered the latest bonkers season of The Boys. HBO and Max have been quieter, but their robust library speaks volumes to the streamer's high quality. The following three films are older, but are just as worth your time as new hits like House of the Dragon season 2.
