The Falcon and the Winter Soldier finally gets a trailer. Watch it here

Exclusive First Look | The Falcon and the Winter Soldier | Disney+

We already have a trove of information on everything we know about Disney’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but the latest item to drop is a trailer for the much-anticipated Marvel series (above).

Disney released the long-awaited preview during its streamed Investor 2020 event that featured a slew of exciting announcements for movie fans and Disney+ subscribers.

We also learned that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will premiere on Disney+ on March 19, 2021.

Starring Marvel franchise actors Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as Falcon and Winter Soldier, respectively, the live-action series follows the events of Avengers: Endgame as Sam Wilson/Falcon and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier join forces in a global adventure that tests their abilities, as well as their patience.

The all-new series is directed by Kari Skogland, with Malcolm Spellman as the head writer.

Shortly after Disney’s announcement, Mackie tweeted, “It’s almost time people.”

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year, Stan commented that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is “really jam-packed with a lot of massive, massive action scenes mixed with deep focus on character. These characters are getting so much more mileage for all of us to explore them. We can put them in situations that we’ve never been able to put them in before because you now have six hours as opposed to two.”

Like so many other productions this year, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was hit by delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic, though the team has continued working on the project whenever possible, paving the way for the spring 2021 release.
