The Transporter is back (with a new face) in the first trailer for The Transporter: Refueled

The Transporter Refueled Movie Trailer
The Transporter franchise returns this June after a seven-year hiatus with a new actor in the lead role of impossibly skilled wheelman Frank Martin, taking over for previous franchise star Jason Statham. In the introductory trailer for The Transporter: Refueled, we get our first look at Ed Skrein (Game of Thrones) as the title character who has three simple rules for his clients: never change the deal, no names, and never open the package.

Directed by Camille Delamarre (Brick Mansions), who served as an editor on 2008’s Transporter 3 and a second-unit director on the ongoing series, aptly titled Transporter: The Series, the new film has Frank becoming an unwilling participant in a client’s efforts to take down a human-trafficking ring. The Transporter: Refueled is set in various locations throughout the French Riviera, and the studio is clearly hoping to give fans much of the same high-speed automobile stunt work that — along with Statham’s performance as Frank Martin — made the original franchise such a hit.

It’s worth noting that in some of the early reports on the film from its producers and in the trailer itself, there’s specific mention of the evolving technology in the automobile world. How that will play into the movie remains to be seen, but it’s certainly an intriguing aspect of the franchise’s return.

Contrary to the trailer’s promise of the movie coming “this fall,” The Transporter: Refueled is scheduled to hit theaters June 19, 2015.

Netflix debuts first teaser trailer for Cobra Kai season 6
The cast of Cobra Kai.

Netflix has grand plans for the final run of Cobra Kai, including the longest season to date with 15 episodes. In the meantime, the first teaser trailer for Cobra Kai season 6 has arrived. And while the trailer is light on story details, it's good to see the students of Johnny and Daniel's combined dojo training together again.

Jeremy Renner in Mayor of Kingston season 3.

On January 1, 2023, Jeremy Renner was badly wounded when his snowplow crushed him. Renner's injuries, including almost 40 broken bones, were so severe that it was miraculous he survived, much less recovered. But now, 16 months later, Renner's comeback begins in the first trailer for the third season of his Paramount+ original series, Mayor of Kingstown.

It's unclear if the show plans to explain any physical limitations that Renner's character, Mike McLusky, may have after Renner's real-life accident. Yet there are a few scenes in the trailer where Mike appears to be getting into some fights. But the real battles ahead are the ones that not even Mike can win with his fists.
