Set post-pandemic in the year 2024, a series of cyber-attacks are set off in the United Kingdom in the time leading up to a British general election. The analysts at GCHQ work to withstand these attacks and stop them from interfering in the election. When Saara Parvan, played by Hannah Khalique-Brown, finds a security breach, the analysts slowly uncover that Russia is most likely behind the attacks. The series is a fascinating look into cyber-terrorism and the potential impact it can have on the world.

In addition to Khalique-Brown, the cast features Simon Pegg and Academy-Award winner Mark Rylance. Adrian Lester, Alex Jennings, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers round out the ensemble. The Undeclared War previously aired on Channel 4.

The Undeclared War was created by Peter Kosminsky , a multiple-time BAFTA winner who also directed every episode of the series. Declan Lawn, Adam Patterson, and Amelia Spencer served as writers on the series. In a press release for the series, Kosminsky  said, “The Undeclared War has been many years in the making. It imagines how the next few years might play out in the domain of cyber warfare – a battle unseen by the public but with potentially devastating consequences.”

A war begins in the new trailer for Dune: Part Two
Timothée Chalamet in "Dune: Part Two."

By splitting Frank Herbert's classic sci-fi novel Dune into two parts, director Denis Villeneuve delayed the introduction of the story's primary villain: The Emperor of the Universe, Shaddam IV (Christopher Walken). But in the newly released trailer for Dune: Part Two, viewers finally get their first glimpse at the man who plotted the downfall of House Atreides. House Harkonnen may have struck the blow against their rival house, but Shaddam IV allowed it because he feared that the late Duke Leto Atreides (Oscar Isaac) would unseat him. But the Emperor has badly miscalculated, because Leto's son, Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet), is now poised to make Shaddam IV's fears into a reality.

Disney shifts release dates for Marvel movies, Star Wars films, and Avatar sequels
wade-gasping-deadpool-2

The writers' strike has lasted about one-and-a-half months so far, and it doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon. And now, Disney is making some major schedule changes to almost all of its upcoming franchise films. Avatar fans are going to feel it the most. Avatar 3 has been pushed back a year from December 2024 to December 19, 2025. The other sequels, Avatar 4 and Avatar 5, have been delayed to December 21, 2029, and December 19, 2031, respectively. That's a three-year delay for both titles from their previous release dates.

Marvel's 2024 slate is also getting a big shake-up, with Captain America: Brave New World moving away from its summer opening slot on May 3, 2024, to July 26, 2024. The Thunderbolts movie is shifting from July 26, 2024, to December 20, 2024, the former release date for Avatar 3. That will make it only the second MCU movie to be released in December after Spider-Man: No Way Home.
