If you own a Fujifilm X-series compact system camera, then there’s a new lens option for you. The company today unveiled a wide-angle prime lens, the Fujinon XF23mm F1.4 R.

With a fast f/1.4 aperture, this premium glass is ideal for low-light shooting and achieving the bokeh background blurring that always looks impressive when you see it in portraits and close-ups. The lens has a camera-to-subject distance indicator and depth-of-field scale on the barrel. Fujifilm says lens distortion has been reduced to an absolute minimum using optical correction, not digital. A smooth bokeh effect is achieved via rounded seven-blade disphragm. One lens group with three cemented lens elements and one aspheric lens element, plus a high-torque DC coreless motor, helps to deliver high-speed autofocusing.

The lens is light (10.6 ounces) and compact (2.48 inches), and has a solid build with metal focus and aperture rings. It’s compatible with any X-mount camera. The lens will go on sale in October for $900.
