Memorex Gets in Two Digital Photo Frames

Memorex Gets in Two Digital Photo Frames

Consumer electronics brand Memorex has rolled out two new entries in its digital photo frame line, and what they lack in tech-savvy specifications and capabilities, they may make up for in price, distribution (Memorex is distributing them through K-Mart), and a special appeal to snap them up as Mothers’ Day gifts—perhaps pre-loaded with family photos!

"Digital picture frames are becoming so popular in the home and as gift items," said Memorex brand manager Carla Pihowich, in a statement. "Memorex has designed these frames to be a cut above the ordinary design, with feminine graphics that will delight the mom in everyone’s life."

The high-gloss white Memorex Special Occasions frame sports a card reader for MMC and SD cards, USB connectivity, and a 7-inch 480 by 234-pixel LC display, while the Memorex Floral Print photo frame sports a 4-in-1 card reader, mini-USB port, and the same 7-inch display in a sleek brown frame with a floral print. Both photo frames come with AC adapters.

Both frames should be available this May through K-Mart for $89.99. Just in time for Mothers’ Day on May 11!

To that end, we've picked some of our favorite deals below, although it's well worth checking out the full Crutchfield sale that's happenning now.

What you should buy in Crutchfield's camera sale
If you're just starting out with photography and don't want to spend the thousands of dollars you do for the slightly better cameras that you'll find in the mid-range, the Canon EOS R100 is an excellent option, and this kit includes a lens as well. It has a 24.1-megapixel sensor for high-quality photography, a 3-inch screen so you can get a better sense of what you're filming, and, of course, the RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 lens that the kit comes with. It can also connect with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and all of that comes packaged at , which is $100 off the usual $599 price tag.
