Nikon has enlisted a prominent photographer, Joe McNally, to snap portraits in this studio on wheels. Photos will be taken and shared with couples at no cost (presumably in both print and digital formats), but it’s on a first come, first served basis. If you got married between June 1-3, you still qualify – just bring your marriage certificate.
“One of the most memorable and marvelous experiences I have had was capturing the wedding of my friends getting married at city hall, McNally says in a release. “People of all types were there to announce and share with the world that this was their beloved. McNally, who’s also part of Nikon’s Ambassador program, says the pop-up studio “gives us a chance to celebrate this real emotion and provide couples with a stunning set of wedding photos to help remember their special day.”
McNally will use the Nikon D750 DSLR camera, paired with a selection of Nikkor lenses and Nikon Speedlights flashes in the Wedding Truck Studio
The stunt is part of Nikon’s “I Am Generation Image” campaign. Sure, it’s marketing Nikon products, but it’s still a nice extra to a happy moment in these people’s lives, considering McNally has shot for some of the biggest names in publishing. No word if the vehicle, which looks like a typical moving truck, will travel to other cities, but since the thing is on wheels, we hope it does hit the road.
