Photography professionals and enthusiasts tend to lug around a lot of gear, and oftentimes that involves having to carry it all in big bigs or cases. If you want to shrink down your camera bag without giving up storage space, Booq has introduced its new sleek-looking Python Slimpack that fits two DSLRs, four mid-size lenses, one large zoom lens, and a tripod. Plus, there’s enough room for an iPad (maybe even a MacBook Air).
The Python is made with 1680 denier ballistic nylon that has a water-repellant coating. It has a removable rain poncho that’s reflective at night, too, for those super-wet moments. The rubberized bottom protects the bag, as well as allowing it to stand upright. The back is padded, with shoulder straps that ergonomically conform to the wearer. Inside the bag are rigid, padded compartments for securing your equipment, with additional pockets and slots for accessories. A top compartment is where you store a second DSLR or smaller camera.
Booq offers a service called Terralinq that helps reunite owners with their Booq bags, should they get lost. Each Python has a unique number that, when registered, can be used by someone to report and return the lost bag – provided the person who found it is a good Samaritan, of course.
The Python sells for $150.
