the fancyThe Fancy.com has come a long way since its beginnings as an invite-only photo blog. It’s now a Pinterest-like shopping platform that’s raising round after round and converting an impressive amount of sales. 

And the site doesn’t just appeal to the everyday user: According to Fancy, plenty of the tech sector’s big names are fancying plenty of items site-wise. High-brow clientele including Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg, and Daniel Ek are patrons of Fancy, in fact. Curious what they’ve been browsing and buying? Here’s a look.

GOP senators want to make it easier to sue tech companies for bias

Republican senators introduced a new proposal on Wednesday that would limit protections of Section 230 for social media platforms. 

The bill, called Limiting Section 230 Immunity to Good Samaritans Act, would make social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter undertake a “duty of good faith” before receiving any protections from Section 230, Axios first reported.

President Donald Trump's executive order rolling back liability protections for online companies threatens to radically change what content is allowed on social media platforms. And while the executive order may not pass legal muster, the damage has already been done: Trump has long been itching for a fight with Silicon Valley's tech giants -- and now he's getting one.

The executive order seeks to revise the protections of Section 230, a pivotal part of the Communications Decency Act that classifies social media and internet services as "platforms," not "publishers," according to a leaked draft. The distinction protects companies like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter from being sued over content others post on their sites.

Reddit went down. Here’s what we know about the outage

Reddit went down Wednesday afternoon, with many users reporting errors with the social media site. Despite briefly going back online, Reddit was still experiencing major errors at 3:30 p.m. PT.

The outage began around 2 p.m. PT, according to Down Detector. At least 27,000 users reported issues with the site on Down Detector, including on the desktop site and the Reddit app. The site appeared to be back online and working normally by 2:40 p.m. PT, but went offline again about 30 minutes later.
