Nothing screams hospitality like light-up LED wearable tech uniforms for flight attendants. At least, that’s what EasyJet is betting on now that they’ve teamed up with Cute Circuit to create a new line of smart clothes for both cabin crew and aircraft engineers. But this wardrobe facelift is more than just aesthetics — rather, the airline and the clothing company note that this tech integration could prove beneficial to both communication and passenger safety procedures, which are both crucial when flying thousands and thousands of feet above the ground. So get ready, passengers — your flight will with EasyJet will never again be the same.

“Our crew’s primary concern is for the safety of all passengers so it is really exciting to be working on this pioneering new technology which could transform the capability of our uniforms, helping crew to be more easily identified in an emergency as well as helping them to provide great service to passengers,” said EasyJet’s head of cabin crew, Tina Milton. And with uniforms that feature LED lights on crew members’ shoulders along with light-up hems that allow for extra light in an emergency, you can rest assured that great service is being taken to a whole new level.

But it won’t just be illumination that the new outfits will provide — rather, LEDs on the lapels of their jackets can give passengers information like flight numbers, destinations, and other such data that will be looped in a continuous scroll, turning flight attendants into walking billboards. What more could you want from an in-flight experience?

Better still, flight engineers who operate at sea level will sport “air quality sensors and barometers to supply important information about the environment in different cities for passengers.” And with the extra comfy hooded jackets with illuminated arm and chest panels and “built-in cameras for remote diagnosis,” being prepared never looked this good.

Of course, we wouldn’t expect anything less from a company like Cute Circuit, which has designed for pop stars like Katy Perry in the past. And with new getups like these, I wouldn’t be surprised if  crew members suddenly broke out into a Katy Perry-esque song and dance routine.

So happy 20th anniversary, EasyJet. You sure know how to celebrate.

Razer Anzu smart glasses deal knocks $140 off the price tag
The Razer Anzu smart glasses placed on top of an open book.

While smartwatch deals have slowly claimed their place in the mainstream, smart glasses haven't turned out to be as popular. Gaming-focused brand Razer, however, is trying to renew interest in smart glasses with the Razer Anzu, which you can currently purchase from Best Buy at $140 off. If you'd like to give them a try, they're available for just $60, less than half their original price of $200.

There have been failures like the Google Glass and Snap Spectacles, and hopeful attempts like Oppo's Air Glass and Apple's secretive project, but the Razer Anzu smart glasses take a different spin on the wearable device by designing them for indoors. While they come with polarized sunglass lenses, their clear lenses are more useful with their blue light filter, which protects your eyes from screen glare to prevent discomfort even after hours of playing video games or working from home. The smart glasses, which also have a built-in omnidirectional microphone and speakers, may also be more comfortable to wear for an extended period of time compared to headsets and headphones. You'll enjoy smooth, stutter-free sound with the Razer Anzu's low latency audio with a 60ms Bluetooth connection.
