Put some bling on it: Huawei’s Swarovski studded smartwatches are now on sale

Huawei Watch

While there are a variety of case and band options for the Huawei Watch, there haven’t been a lot of specific offerings for women. Back in January, the company expanded its Watch lineup with two new models — the Jewel and the Elegant. Now the two gorgeous lady watches are available for purchase in several online stores for U.S. buyers.

Internally, the new watches are exactly the same as the company’s others. It’s purely a cosmetic makeover, one that brings thinner bands and gold casings to the watches. Prices range from $500 to $600 for the pretty new designs.

Each of the watches has 10 new exclusive feminine watch faces, but the real highlight is the Jewel model, which features 68 1.5mm Swarovski Zirconia crystals around the 400 x 400 pixel display. The Elegant model houses a ring design on a rose-gold-plated body. Both watches are scratch resistant, are protected by a two-layer sapphire crystal, and have stainless-steel bodies.

The cases of the watches are actually larger than the original Huawei Watch, rounding out at 44mm rather than 42mm. It’s odd that Huawei went with a slightly larger size for the feminine variants, especially since the lugs didn’t see a size reduction, and are still 18mm. It’s really only the bands that are a little slimmer.

Huawei is touting the Elegant and the Jewel as being the first smartwatches made for women, and while other companies like Motorola have feminine variants, Huawei is right in the sense that competing products don’t quite have the luxurious glamour of Swarovski crystals. Just hope the extra 2mm is worth the looks.

Razer Anzu smart glasses deal knocks $140 off the price tag
The Razer Anzu smart glasses placed on top of an open book.

While smartwatch deals have slowly claimed their place in the mainstream, smart glasses haven't turned out to be as popular. Gaming-focused brand Razer, however, is trying to renew interest in smart glasses with the Razer Anzu, which you can currently purchase from Best Buy at $140 off. If you'd like to give them a try, they're available for just $60, less than half their original price of $200.

There have been failures like the Google Glass and Snap Spectacles, and hopeful attempts like Oppo's Air Glass and Apple's secretive project, but the Razer Anzu smart glasses take a different spin on the wearable device by designing them for indoors. While they come with polarized sunglass lenses, their clear lenses are more useful with their blue light filter, which protects your eyes from screen glare to prevent discomfort even after hours of playing video games or working from home. The smart glasses, which also have a built-in omnidirectional microphone and speakers, may also be more comfortable to wear for an extended period of time compared to headsets and headphones. You'll enjoy smooth, stutter-free sound with the Razer Anzu's low latency audio with a 60ms Bluetooth connection.
