The Moto 360 is one of the most desirable smartwatches around and now AT&T is offering you the chance to pick one up inside its stores, or online, starting on November 7. It’ll sell the watch on its own, but if the new 2014 Moto X smartphone has also caught your eye, AT&T will hand over the Moto 360 at a reduced price, so long as you take home the phone on the same day.
AT&T will remove $250 from your bank account in exchange for the Moto 360 smartwatch, but it’ll knock $50 off its price tag if you purchase it in a bundle with the Moto X. You’ll need to sign-up for a two-year contract to secure the Moto X for $100. The network has yet to confirm whether the very appealing Moto 360 offer will still apply if you choose an AT&T Next plan, or buy the phone at its full $527 retail price.
Wrapped in stainless steel and equipped with a leather strap, the Moto 360 stands out thanks to its 1.56-inch circular screen. It’s one of the most stylish wearable devices you can buy. It has 4GB of internal memory, a heart rate monitor, and a 320mAh battery that should last around a day before it needs recharging. Meanwhile, the 2014 Moto X has a 5.2-inch, 1080p screen, a Snapdragon 801 processor, and a 13-megapixel camera.
The announcement of the Moto 360 comes on the same day AT&T also confirmed it would be selling the LG G Watch R, the Moto 360’s newest rival. It mounts a strong challenge, particularly in the screen and battery department, both of which impressed us in our review. However, you’ll pay $300 for LG’s round smartwatch through AT&T and there’s no special bundle available to lower the cost.
